President,  John Chalmers would like to thank all of the Veteran's, members, and friends, for the great turnout at the recent events. Monday night at the movies continues to draw good support and some great laughs. It's easy to call the club for Show-time and hear about the feature film that's showing next.

This is our "ELECTION" night.
It's very important that you come out and Vote for the Incoming President and his executive team. Your vote and your voice are important in ensuring we elect the strongest slate of officers for the ensuing year. Speak to someone you believe might do a worthy job and help them get elected.
The Membership campaign to increase membership is in full swing and new members may be entitled to 1 month FREE.

Membership cards for 2017 are now available and dues can be paid without penalties up until January 1st 2017
Support your club, attend your meetings, pay your Dues, and respect our wonderful Veterans
New members are the important new blood in the club progress. Can we count on You to seek out a new member?

The results of the Poppy Drive in Markham for 2014 are in.

Due to the overwhelming generosity of the local residents of Markham - Unionville we raised $43,514.00 which will be donated in it's entirety to helping Veterans and Veteran related charities.

We also provided Bursary grants this year to college and University students

Thank you for your help and support over the years

It is widely appreciated by the Veterans, Poppy committee and the many Poppy Volunteers

Our Poppy campaign has just concluded and we would like to thank everybody that assisted with the delivery and pick up of Poppy Boxes throughout our area.

The Citizens of Markham are to be Thanked for their Generosity in donating to this years Campaign

All monies collected go entirely to assist our Veteran's

Our club historian Dave Watson  looks after all of the clubs artifacts and treasures. Ask him to take a moment and explore the various treasures with you. Better still, ask him for a time to show you some of the clubs wonderful archives stored upstairs. We have some great history in the M.D.V.A.
