Remembrance Day 2014 at the M.D.V.A. was witnessed and observed by one of the largest crowds in Markham for several years. Our Traditional Church Service observed at 10.00am was a standing room only affair with another 100 + people standing outside, eager to hear the service through a relay speaker.
Our Veteran's showed some mixed emotions at seeing such a large crowd, and as they paraded to the Cenotaph their pride and self esteem was clearly evident, as they were shown loving respect from the well wishers gathered. Many Veterans were escorted on our People Movers (Courtesy of Bennett Golf Carts Ltd)
The President, Veterans, and Members would take this occasion to express a very appreciative round of thanks to those members of the public for coming out and "Remembering".
It is very important that we make the effort to attend each year, and pay our tributes to those Veterans who are left, and also to those that paid the ultimate sacrifices.
